Transurban's third quarter revenue up
(AAP) - Transurban Group says December quarter revenue grew 5.3 per cent from a year earlier as traffic increased across all its Australian toll roads.
Revenue for the three months to December 31 was $209.2 million, Melbourne-based
Transurban said in a statement on Wednesday.
Revenue excluding the impact of Melbourne's CityLink toll road revenue protection
provision increased 6.5 per cent to $206.6 million.
A final drawdown on the CityLink revenue protection provision was made in the
December quarter to offset the impact of works associated with the M1 upgrade, the
company said.
In New South Wales, four out of five assets experienced strong positive truck growth
with revenue increasing in all five.
Revenue at Transurban's wholly owned Hills M2 jumped 13.8 per cent and surged 10.4
per cent at its 50 per cent owned Westlink M7.
Meanwhile, revenue earned from the company's only US asset, the Pocahontas highway,
fell 2.5 per cent.
