Saudi Embassy in China organizes Blood Donation Campaign

Beijing, June 13, SPA -- The Saudi Embassy in China organized at the Saudi School here today Blood Donation Campaign for the victims of the strong earthquake that hit Sichuan Province in China, on the
occasion of World Blood Donation Day.

The campaign was attended by Saudi Ambassador to China, Yahaya
Abdulkarim Al-Zaid and Director of Saudi School in Beijing, Mostafa
Ali Al-Homaid.

A number of personnel of the Embassy and teachers of the Saudi
School participated in the blood donation.

Al-Zaid said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that one of the goals of this campaign is to help those people who need blood
either from the victims of the earthquake or patients at hospitals,
noting that it is a humanitarian participation from Saudi citizens to
Chinese friends.

He pointed out that these campaigns reflect strong solidarity
between peoples of the Kingdom and China.
