Iran's President orders security bodies to hunt down killers of nuclear scientist

Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA – The government of the Islamic Republic condemned the recent assasination of the Tehran University professor and announced that President Ahmadinejad has ordered security bodies to find the perpetrators of the crime as well as their foreign supporters.

According to the Presidential Office website on Tuesday, the Government in a statement said that inhuman act of assassinating Tehran University professor Masoud Alimohammadi indicated that enemies of Iran have entered into the blind phase of criminal acts.

"The criminal agents of such a crime should know they cannot escape justice and sooner or later will receive their punishment", said the statement.

It strongly condemned martyrdom of the university professor and condoled with the bereaved family and the academic society.

Dr. Masoud Alimohammadi, professor of physics in Tehran University, was assassinated on Tuesday morning in front of his house. He was killed in a remote-control bomb blast./end
