US does not condemn Iranian professor's assassination
New York, Jan 13, IRNA – The US government did not condemn assassination of an Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, but claimed that it had no role in it.
Dr. Masoud Alimohammadi, a Tehran University professor, was assassinated on Tuesday morning in a bomb blast.
The US media quoted Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mark Tuner saying that the US government had no role in the act but declining to condemn the terroristic act.
He added that the accusations are funny and meaningless.
Kidnapping and assassination have been accepted in the US foreign policy and the White House had repeatedly said that it opposes a nuclear Iran and will prevent it by every possible manner.
In this concern, the US has kidnapped Iranian citizens in a number of countries and kept them in their notorious prisons for long without declaring it.
The US has usually denied its involvement after every kidnapping, a recent one is related to a kidnapped Iranian citizen in Georgia, which after months of denial, Washington finally declared that the kidnapped person is there and they want to put him on trial./end
