University professor killed in bomb explosion in Tehran
TEHRAN, Jan. 12 (MNA) -- In a bomb explosion on Tuesday morning in northern Tehran a university professor was killed.
According to initial reports, the professor was driving from parking lot to go to work that a bomb-laden motorcycle went off outside his home and killed him.
According to criminal investigators the motorcycle which was parked outside the victim’s home was exploded by remote control.
Mahdi Mohammadifar, the deputy interior minister for parliamentary affairs, told the Mehr News Agency that police have launched an investigation into the terrorist act.
The professor has been indentified as Masoud Ali Mohammadi.
