Iranian-Syrian academic officials confer
Damascus, Syria, Jan 12, IRNA - Vice Chancellor of Tehran University Mohammad Ali Mousavi held talks with chancellor of Damascus University, Syria here on late Monday.
During the meeting, Mousavi conferred with the Syrian official Wael Moalla on cooperation in academic affairs and share experience in science and technology.
Launching courses in Arabic and Persian languages, exchange of university professors and students, and conducting university researches were among issues discussed in the meeting.
The two sides also decided to study the ways for holding global congresses on Islamic architecture in the universities of Damascus, Halab and Tehran.
Moalla, for his part, invited the Iranian researchers and scholars in Tehran University to visit Damascus University in the near future.
Chancellor of Tehran University Farhad Rahbar had held talks with Moalla in April 2009 on ways to develop mutual scientific cooperation./end
