Ulaanbaatar,/MONTSAME/ Khovsgol province has been increasing its five kinds of livestock for eight years continuously. This province is leading in the country by the number of livestock.
The number of herdsmen having more than a thousand animals reached 308. Burentogtokh soum has become a leader of the "Thousand animals of livestock owner" reaching 40 such herdsmen. This soum was followed by Tomorbulag soum that had 33 herdsmen, Arbulag soum--31, and Ulaan-Uul soum--one herdsman. Tsagaan-Uul soum's P.Byambaa had the biggest number of Bactrian camel, whereas J.Khuujii of Rinchenlhumbe soum counted the biggest number of horse and cows; Yo.Magsar (Tomorbulag soum)--of sheep, and R.Sodnomdarjaa (Galt soum)--of 1,355 goat.

People living in taiga of the aimag's Tsagaannuur soum increased number of reindeers by 112 heads against the previous year, so it has 1,133 reindeers now.
The reindeer herdsmen are living in Tsagaannuur soum. With an aim to improve living standards of reindeer herdsmen and breed of reindeer, the aimag has started implementing a program called "Improvement of reindeer farm and promoting the life of reindeer herdsmen". In addition, the aimag's administration has decided to organize the Festival of Thousand Reindeers.

A secondary sports school named "Three champions" has opened recently in the aimag's central city. This school occupies a two-storey old building repaired at MNT 76 million investment.
The school that has been equipped with academic rooms and a sports hall has selected 170 from 300 children who are keen on sports. Apart of the academic training programs, the pupils are taugable to be involved in advanced trainings for national wrestling, sambo, judo, light athletics, gymnastics, skiing and skating.
