TWO MONGOLIANS TO TAKE PART IN WINTER OLYMPIAD
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Two athletes will represent Mongolia at the 21st Winter Olympic Games that will run February
12-26 in Vancouver, Canada. They are having training in order to compete in the men's and women's cross-country skiing.
The two Mongolians--Kh.Khash-Erdene and O.Ochirsukh--have been granted Olympic rights after having collected qualification points at competitions. The Vancouver's Games are the 12th Winter Olympics for Mongolia since it made the debut at the 9th Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria.
By the way, to Innsbruck Mongolia sent the most number of athletes--9 for cross-country skiing and three for speed skating. In the 17th Olympic Winter Games held in Lillehammer, Norway, only one Mongolian took part--in short track.
