AZERBAIJAN BEAT EGYPT IN WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
Baku, January 10 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s national chess team have defeated Egypt 3-1 in the 5th round of the world championship in Bursa, Turkey, to garner their third point.
Vugar Hashimov lost to Ahmad Adiy on the first board, but his team-mates were victorious over their rivals: Teymur Rajabov beat Bassem Amini on the second, Shahriyar Mammadyarov defeated Mohammed Azeti on the third and Nijat Mammadov won Balaa Sarwati on the fourth board.
