Saudi FM calls for peaceful solution to Iran's nuclear program

Riyadh, Jan 10, IRNA – Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal in a press conference with his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle, in Riyadh on Saturday evening, underlined the necessity of a peaceful solution to Iran'a nuclear program through diplomatic ways.

In the press conference, Saud al-Faisal said using peaceful nuclear energy in the framework of international regulation is a right of all countries of the region.

He added that the strategic region of the Middle East is sensitive and asked for a region free of mass destruction weapons, especially referring to the Zionist regime arsenal.

Saud al-Faisal said that a guaranteed tranquility and security in the region depends on eliminating nuclear arsenal, which the Zionist regime has one, too.

He said that the main subject of his negotiation with the German counterpart was ways of starting negotiations related to peace in the Middle East and the Zionist regime's creating obstacles in this field, Yemen domestic conflict, situation in Palestine territory, continuation of the Zionist regime construction of settlement in the occupied territory and situation in Afghanistan.
