Iranian writer Mohammad Ayyubi dies at 67
TEHRAN, Jan. 9 (MNA) -- The contemporary Iranian writer Mohammad Ayyubi died here on Saturday morning. He was 67.
Ayyubi famous for his novels “Milky Way” and “Journey to Cancer of Mogul” was suffering from heart disease and pneumonia.
Ayyubi was born in 1942 in Ahvaz in southern Iran. Trilogy “Long Melody of South”, “Endless Elegies” and “Day of the Boar” are among his credits.
His “Masks of Obedience” was a nominee for the best novel at the second edition of Jalal Al-e Ahmad Literary Awards.
Plans for Mohammad Ayyubi’s funeral and burial have not been finalized yet.
