PACE WINTER SESSION DUE IN STRASBOURG
Baku, January 9 (AzerTAc). The winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Coincil of Europe will be held on January 25-29 in Strasbourg.
Azerbijan`s parliamentary delegation led by Samad Seyidov will attend the session, meetings of the Assembly`s Bureau and Standing Committee.
A call for legal recognition of same-sex couples across Europe and a debate on the situation in the Middle East, as well as addresses by Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou and Italian Foreign Affairs Minister Franco Frattini, are among highlights of PACE`s winter session.
The Assembly is also due to elect a new President.
