RESOLUTION ISSUED TO EXPAND CHECKPOINTS


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ In accordance with a resolution issued at Friday's irregular cabinet meeting, a general plan and project will be submitted to the government within the first quarter of 2010 on expanding Omnogobi aimag's "Shivee khuren" and "Gashuun sukhait" border checkpoints in accordance with the international standard.
Automatic scales, X-ray apparatuses, labs, sanitary rooms and checking devices will be installed there.
In view of ensuring the environmental stability, the coal-loading device in Omnogobi's Khanbogd soum will introduce environmentally-friendly techniques and technologies and will construct a new coal loading device that satisfies the standards.
Action will be taken to establish an agreement with the Chinese side on transferring the "Gashuun sukhait", "Shiveekhuren" and "Khangi" border checkpoints into the 24-hour regime within February of 2010. In connection with this, possibilities will be studied on increasing number of staffers in the borders, customs and supervision, and on financial matters. These issues will be submitted to the government before the first quarter of this year.
In aims to raise income of the state budget and to promote exports, related officials were ordered to tackle an issue on constructing a road from the Tavan tolgoi deposit to the "Gashuun sukhait" and "Khangi" border checkpoints, with money from entities which are exporting mineral products.
A plenipotentiary will be appointed from the government to ensure connections among enterprisers, state administrative organizations and local managing organizations and to regulate activities of border checkpoints.
