ELBEGDORJ URGES GOVERNMENT TO HELP HERDERS

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj held a meeting Friday with Prime Minister S.Batbold to discuss measures being taken on overcoming winter difficulties.
"Around 70 percent of Mongolia's territory has been suffering the dzud--extremely cold weather and continuous snowfall. This situation is expected to continue for many days. The government must draw more attention to helping herders in saving their livestock and to delivering hays and fodder to provinces where the situation is extremely serious," said the President and advised the Premier to deal with the matters in ways of most appropriate management and organization.
