GOBI-AILTAI PROVINCE DEVELOPS

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Fulfillment of a program on promoting economy of Gobi-Altai aimag stood at 81.2 percent in 2009. It is said that MNT 12.0 billion investment was made last year to the socio-economic development of Gobi-Altai, the western province of Mongolia. In 2010, the Aimag plans to run 173 actions to promote its socio-economic development
Last year, a total of 1,064 registered unemployed got permanent jobs in Gobi-Altai. Out of them, 542 were involved in free vocational training sessions. Moreover, 293 people received small-scale loan to engage in private and household business. Furthermore, 428 people from vulnerable group were provided with seasonal and temporary jobs.
