International Energy Agency welcomes Kingdom's call for oil
Paris, June 12 (SPA) - Paris-based International Energy Agency (IAE) welcomed today the call of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold a meeting attended by oil producers and consumers in Jeddah on June 22nd to to discuss the repercussions of unusual increase in oil prices.
The Agency's Director Nobuo Tanaka said that this increase in oil prices can not be tolerated as it endangers the global economic
growth, stressing that repercussions of this rise in oil prices will
be harsh on developing countries in particular.
Tanaka affirmed that the Kingdom provides through this initiative a chance to act collectively to spread safety in the market in terms of future developments.
