German Prof. Christel Hoffmann to hold theater workshop in Tehran
TEHRAN, Jan. 6 (MNA) -- German Professor Christel Hoffmann will be holding her second workshop on theater in Iran which will open on January 9.
Hoffman studied theatrical science in Leipzig and has been Professor at the Academy of Theatre Pedagogy in Osnabrück, Germany since 2003. The main focus of her teaching is the methodology of theater with children and youth, and epic theater.
The professor will be holding the workshop for a group of teachers from the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).
Concepts, characters, language, role of animals in plays, mimicry, as well as the process of narrating a story or a fiction are among the topics to be discussed during the 10-day program.
This is the professor’s second workshop in Iran; her previous one was held three years ago at the IIDCYA.
“Theater Play with Children and Adolescents”, “Theater of Aeschylus to Brecht” and “Games and Play Acting” are among Hoffman’s productions.
Hoffman is a lecturer at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, and teaches at the Fachhochschule Osnabrück (University of Applied Sciences).
