Crash victim loses baby

The partner of a man killed in a horror car smash has lost her baby in hospital.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was one of five people injured in a head-on smash at
Anderson, near Phillip Island, on Monday.
Police confirmed that the woman lost her baby on Tuesday but the death has not been
added to the road toll because she was less than 24 weeks pregnant.
The woman remains in the Royal Women's Hospital in a stable condition with abdominal
injuries.
Her boyfriend, also aged in his 20s, died. He was a front seat passenger in the car
which collided with another vehicle.
The woman's nine-year-old brother was sitting in the back seat and was airlifted to
hospital with a head injury.
