CITIZENS TO DISCUSS PRESS FREEDOM DRAFT

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The very first open discussion will be held January 12 in the Citizens' Hall of the Government House to have citizens express their views and comments on draft law on press freedom. It has been initiated by a working group headed by Ts.Oyungerel, an advisor to the President on human rights and civil participation.
From December 17 of the last year, all daily newspapers started publishing the draft law-related materials starting thus the discussion which will continue until January 11. In addition, citizens' opinions have been collected by the Citizens Hall through letters, E-mails, fax, and phone calls.
Those willing to partake in the upcoming discussion in person can get registered in the Citizens Hall but their prior study of the draft Law, public hearing and discussion procedures and manual is strongly required. All these are in "www. president.mn" website.
