Iran’s Azeri band Araz to tour Europe
TEHRAN, Jan. 6 (MNA) -- Iran’s Azeri music band Araz by singer and conductor Rahim Shahriari is to tour Europe during March and April.
"The band will give its first performance in Istanbul on March 16. Thereafter, we will head to Köln in Germany. The band will continue on to Paris, Stockholm and several other cities for almost a month.
“The performances will contain a selection from the album ‘Who Knows’ in addition to several famous Azeri folklore songs,” he remarked.
The band features Okhtay Shadi on tar, Afshin Alavi on Kamancheh, Hamzeh Shahriari on clarinet, Peyman Hamidi on piano, Mohammad-Hossein Afshari on kettledrum and several other musicians.
