China says UNSC won't discuss sanctions on Iran this month
Beijing, Jan 6, IRNA – Chinese media quoting China permanent representative to the UN said that the Security Council will not discuss new sanctions against Iran in January.
China envoy in the United Nations Zhang Yesui, whose country is the rotating chairman of the UN Security Council in the month of January, has underlined diplomatic efforts to solve Iran's nuclear issue.
Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu underscored here on Tuesday continuationo of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to solve Iran's nuclear issue and said that there are still ground for diplomatic solutions.
She told reporters that dialogue and negotiation are still the best solution for Iran's nuclear issue.
She expressed hope that the related sides could increase their diplomatic efforts with more flexibility and practical steps and begin negotiations promptly.
