AZERBAIJANI CHESS PLAYER LOSES TO RUSSIAN RIVAL IN ITALY TOURNAMENT

Baku, January 4 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani grandmaster Eltac Safarli lost to Russian Vladimir Bologan in the fifth round of the international chess tournament in Reggio nell'Emilia, Italy, slipping down to 7-8th with 2.5 points garnered.
Zoltan Almasi (Hungary) and Gata Kamski (Russia) top the table with 3.5 pts.
