Iran car production surpasses 1m
TEHRAN, Jan. 4 (MNA) -- Domestic car producers manufactured 1,008,319 cars of different types in the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2009).
The amount shows a 9 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
In the mentioned period, 845,427 passenger cars have been produced, which is 12 percent more than the year before.
Only in the Iranian month of Azar (November 22–December 22, 2009) 137,625 cars of different types have been produced, which shows a 15 percent increase in comparison to the previous year’s figure.
In the 30-day period, 112,709 passenger cars have been produced.
