AZERI CHESS GRANDMASTERS TO BATTLE FOR WORLD MEDALS

Baku, January 3 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s national chess team will compete in the world championship kicking off today in Bursa, Turkey.
The Azeri squad includes grandmasters Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Vugar Hashimov, Teymur Rajabov, Gadir Huseynov, Rauf Mammadov and Nijat Mammadov.
Apart from Azerbaijan, the tournament will also see participation of Russia, Turkey, Brazil, USA, China, Egypt, Greece, Israel and Armenia.
