AZERBAIJAN ENJOYS ‘VERY HIGH’ INTERNATIONAL PROFILE
Baku, January 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan today enjoys very high international profile, President Ilham Aliyev said in his New Year message.
“The year 2009 marked considerable achievements in Azerbaijan`s foreign policy. The meetings and negotiations I had with heads of state and government of different countries have even more strengthened Azerbaijan`s positions in the world. The number of countries wishing to be a friend of Azerbaijan is growing, at the same time, the number of our strategic partners also grows.”
“Our foreign policy is aimed at ensuring the complete protection of the national interests of Azerbaijan. We enjoy good relations with neighboring countries, and these relations are based on mutual respect,” the President said.
