RUSSIA TAKES OVER CIS CHAIRMANSHIP
Baku, January 1 (AzerTAc). Russia takes over the chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) starting from January 1, succeeding Moldova.
Russia said boosting cooperation between the member states in the fields of science and innovations would be key priorities during its tenure.
Moscow is expected to host next CIS summit in December 2010.
