INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON ROLE OF WOMEN STARTS IN BAKU

Baku, 11 June, (AzerTAj) - Over 300 delegates including ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, UNESCO goodwill ambassadors and first ladies of a number of countries are participating in a two-day international forum “Expanding the Role
of Women in Cross-Culture Dialogue�, which started Tuesday at the Gulustan Palace in Baku. The forum has been initiated by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and supported by the UNESCO and ISESCO.
First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP, Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the forum, stressing the importance of expanding the role of women in the cross-culture dialogue.
Chief of the Presidential Administration`s Humanitarian Department Fatma Abdullahzade read out President Ilham Aliyev`s welcoming message to the conference participants.
The forum participants also watched the video address of Matsuura Koichiro, UNESCO Director General.
The opening ceremony was addressed by ISESCO Director General, First Ladies of Poland, Latvia, Angola and US State of Texas, spouses of Turkish Premier, Vice-President of Argentina and others.
The topics to be discussed at the forum are as follows: Conflict or Unity of Human Civilization, Awe Towards Woman, Awe Towards Life , National Consciousness as a Shield against Turning People into “Particles of Globalization, East and West: How Do We View Each Other. In conclusion, the participants will adopt the Baku Declaration.
