President: Foreign powers interference has no influence on Iranians

Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that the interference of foreign powers in Iran's domestic affairs has no influence on the progressive move and stand of the country.

Talking to reporters following a cabinet session, he stressed that attempts by the US and certain European states to create tension in Iran is a repetition of their past mistakes.

He added that leaders of such foreign countries should know that their efforts will have no impact on the equations, stands, ideals and progressive movements of the Iranian people.

Advising President Barack Obama and several European leaders to take lessons from the fate of their predecessors, President Ahmadinejad stressed that they were not able to sow discord among the Iranian people by making hue and cry.

The US and European leaders, once again proved that they are still making mistakes in their plans, stands and approaches regarding the Iranian nation and the Islamic Revolution, he added./end
