ERDENET CORPORATION RISES SALARIES ++E

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Erdenet Mining Corporation has increased its employees' salaries by 35 percent. It has been enacted from December 1 this year.
Thanks to this, an average salary of an employee reached MNT one million (some 690 USD). Before, the average stood at MNT 780.000 (USD 543).
Erdenet Mining Corporation is one of the biggest Ore mining and Ore processing factories in Asia. It was established in accordance with an agreement between governments of Mongolia and former Soviet Union. It started operations in 1978. The corporation is the Mongolian-Russian joint venture, its 51% of shares is owned by the State Property Committee of Mongolia's Government, 49%--by the Russian Government.
At present, it processes 25 million tons of ore per year and produces over 530.0 thousand tons of copper concentrate and 3.0 thousand tons of molybdenum concentrates annually.
