STATE PRIZES AWARDED



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ States prizes were awarded Monday to some people who gained successes in the journalism and mass media sector.
According to the decree of the President Ts.Elbegdorj, a title of State Honored Cultural Worker was bestowed upon D.Jargal, a senior staffer of Mongolia's National Public Radio and Television (MNPRT) for his long-year effective works, for training and preparing young journalists and for a contribution to developing the TV journalism.
The "North Star" Order went to N.Bazarragchaa, a general director of TV5 channel; G.Batnyagt, a cameraman of "NTV" channel; D.Oyunchimeg, a columnist of the "Ardyn Erkh" daily; B.Oyunchimeg, a head of th MNPRT's Program Preparation Service; Kh.Olziibayar, a chief editor of the "Democracy" newspaper; and to G.Erdenebat, a journalist of the "Daily" paper.
The Honorary Medal of Labor went to N.Bayarsaikhan, a producer of the TV9; O.Gerelttsetseg, chief editor of the UBS TV channel; E.Dagiimaa, chief editor of the TV5; G.Monkhtuul, a columnist of the 25th TV channel; D.Otgonzaya, head of the UBS TV's Service of Programs; V.Sarantuya, a head of the Marketing Service of the "National Post" daily; O.Togookhuu, a columnist of the "Onoodor" newspaper's Foreign News Desk; S.Temuujin, a general engineer of the TV9 channel; Ch.Tsetsegmaa, head of a Service of the "Democracy" newspaper; R.Enkhtuya, a columnist of the "Onoodor"; Ts.Enkhtuya, a producer of the 25th channel; S.Enkhtuul, a general editor of the "Niigmiin toli" newspaper; and to P.Yadamdorj, head of the Foreign News Desk of the "Capital Times" newspaper.
During the ceremony, the State Head congratulated the awardees and underlined that "our freedom and social justice, and their some parts would not exist if the free press was not in Mongolia". He said the press protects immunities of the freedom and justice.
