AZERBAIJANI STATE COMMITTEE ON PROBLEMS OF FAMILY

Baku, 10 June, (AzerTAj) - Chairperson of Azerbaijani State Committee on Problems of Family, Woman and Child (SCPFWC) Mrs. Hijran Huseynova has met with the member of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Women Sheikha Vesal Bint Mohamed Al-Khalifa and Minister of Marocco’s Social Development, Family and Solidarity Mrs. Nuzha Skalli, who arrived in Baku to attend the international forum titled “Expanding the Role of Women in Cross-Culture Dialogue�. Mrs.Huseynova stressed the significance of the international forum, women’s participation in economic, political, social and cultural life of the country and the Committee’s activity. She particularly emphasized the role of President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva in protection of women rights. Mrs. Huseynova underlined that numerous laws and state programs, including project “Stop violence against women in XXI century� signed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the UNFPA were approved in the country. The guests highly valued participation of Azerbaijani women in state building of the country and expressed their desire to cooperate in various projects and programs.
