60,000-SEAT STADIUM TO BE BUILT IN BAKU
Baku, December 28 (AzerTAc). A new stadium with the capacity of 60,000 will be built here, Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov told journalists.
The construction of the stadium to be located around the Boyukshor settlement will be funded by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. The oil-polluted lands are now being recultivated here.
According to the Minister, the Pool Complex is also scheduled to be constructed in the capital. The problem is that there is no 50-meter swimming pool in Baku. Unfortunately, the operating pools are in poor conditions. The complex to be put into service in 2012 will have three big pools, he added.
