Baku, 25 December (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s National Rowing Federation has announced the best sportsmen for 2009.
Javid Afandiyev has been named the best academic oarsman. He claimed three gold medals in the international tournaments.
Rufat Valizadeh has become the best kayaker, while Valentin Demyanenko the best canoeist.
Demyanenko claimed the World and European crowns in the single`s 200-m race.
