Baku, December 25 (AzerTAc). The Government of Japan has allocated 8 more grants, amounting to a total of $763,982, to Azerbaijan to help the country improve its healthcare, educational, environmental and social sectors.
The money is given as part of Japan`s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The grant assistance document will be signed today at the Japanese embassy in Baku.
The GGP, part of Japan`s Official Development Assistance to developing countries, is aimed at supporting non-governmental organizations and community based organizations working specifically in the social development sector. It provides flexible and timely support to small-scale development projects, which aim to improve the social well-being of the people at the grassroots level.
