KUWAITI MAGAZINE HIGHLIGHTS AZERBAIJAN`s TOURISM POTENTIAL

Baku, December 25 (AzerTAc). Kuwait-based English language magazine Gulf Traveller has devoted a large part of its December issue to Azerbaijan.
Editor, Ahmad Abu Sido, who recently visited Azerbaijan, provided comprehensive information to the magazine`s readers about where to go, what to see and what to do on a holiday in the country.
Abu Sido writes: “Azerbaijan has enormously beautiful nature and favorable climate. There are more than 6,000 must see cultural and historic monuments.”
“The country is very attractive to tourists, and will surely be the lovely place for those from Arab countries.”
The author quotes Azeri culture and tourism minister Abulfaz Garayev: “More than 60% of Azerbaijan`s territory is a potential tourism site. Last year alone saw 1.4 million tourists visit our country, and we are making all possible efforts to increase the figure. Azerbaijan adopted a state program to boost its tourism industry, and it already yields fruits.”
The article also features photographs of Azerbaijan`s landmark monuments, including the Shirvanshahs Palace, Old City and Maiden Tower.
