PROTOCOLS FROM 99% OF CONSTITUENCIES ALREADY RECEIVED, AZERI CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION
Baku, December 24 (AzerTAc). Some 1,699 constituencies of 1,718 across Azerbaijan have already submitted their final protocols of the voting in municipal elections, according to the country`s Central Election Commission, CEC.
The commission said the total turnout was 31.86%, which means 1,462,074 people of the total of 4,588,728 eligible voters cast ballots.
A total of 15,682 seats in 1,718 municipalities were contested, with about 31,000 candidates running.
