AZERI CHARGE D`AFFAIRES MEETS SLOVENIAN TOP OFFICIALS
Ljubljana, December 24 (AzerTAc). Charge d`Affaires of the Azerbaijani embassy in Slovenia Garay Muradov has attended here an official reception to mark the country`s Independence and Unity Day, where he chatted with Slovenian President Danilo Turk, Parliamentary Speaker Pavel Gantar and Permier Borut Pahor.
President Turk remembered his recent visit to Azerbaijan, saying his visit was unique in terms of effectiveness.
The Slovenian leader noted his friendly relations with President Ilham Aliyev contribute to boosting cooperation between the two countries.
He underlined Slovenia was ready to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres, particularly economic and cultural ones.
Speaker Pavel Gantar stressed the necessity of deepening inter-parliamentary ties. He recalled Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation`s trip to Ljubljana, noting members of the Azerbaijan-Slovenia inter-parliamentary group will soon visit Baku.
Prime Minister Borut Pahor said Azerbaijan was of great importance for not only Slovenia, but also the European Union.
He said the Slovenian President`s visit to Azerbaijan showed that both countries had opportunities to cooperate fruitfully in other spheres along with energy one.
