NUMBER OF LIVESTOCK INCREASED IN DUNDGOBI

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The number of livestock in Dundgobi province have increased, as preliminary results show of the 2009 livestock census conducted in December.
Total number of Dundgobi's domesticated animals, including horse, cattle, camel, sheep and goat, has increased by 98,335 heads reaching 2 million 138 thousands and 924.
However, the number of horses had decreased 2,354 against previous year, and the number of cattle has declined by 602. Total number of sheep has increased by 51,977 heads and goat by 48,591 whilst the camel has increased by 729 reaching at 20,644.
