Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Parliamentarians Su.Batbold, R.Amarjargal, D.Arvin, Kh.Badelkhan, Ya.Batsuuri, D.Odbayar and D.Khayankhyrvaa submitted Thursday a draft amendment to the law on Armed Forces to the Speaker D.Demberel.
The MPs consider as neccesary to ensure and strengthen a security of the strategic mineral deposits such as the Oyu tolgoi and Tavan tolgoi by establishing there additional military professional units and branches.
They say the amendment is vital in terms of realizing the state policy on promoting local socio-economic independent and sustainable development, creating conditions for the Armed Forces to participate in the largest construction, and legalizing environment for erecting constructions and engineering units.
