SPEAKER'S CONCERN OVER FUEL AND ENERGY SECTOR
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker issued December 22 an order on setting up a working group that is to draw up a draft policy document on improving financial and economic capabilities of the fuel and energy sector and refining upon its legal environment.
Before issuing the order, the Speaker got au fait late November with a winter preparation at some coal mines, located in the city's Baganuur and Nalaikh districts, at the 4th power station, met with their athorities to share views on tackling urgent problems, held meeting with related officials, MPs and experts to discuss prices of coal and a possibility of exporting coal.
The headed by A.Tleikhan MP group comprises other MPs as B.Batbayar, N.Batbayar, Ts.Bayarsaikhan, Kh.Badamsuren, Ts.Davaasuren, D.Damba-Ochir, D.Terbishdagva, Ts.Tsengel, Ts.Shinebayar and Z.Enkhbold.
The Speaker ordered them to formulate the document connecting it with the National Development Policy based on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and the "United System of Energy" program. The latter is be introduced within 1st of April of 2010.
