NAT'L PROGRAM ON PROTECTING CONSUMERS' RIGHTS APPROVED

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Government ratified a national program on protecting the consumers' rights at its meeting on Wednesday.
Parliament adopted the Law on Protecting the Consumers' Rights in 1991 and recognized the "Main principles on protecting the consumers' rights" in 1992. Then, parliament passed the Declaration on Mongolian Consumers' Rights in 1993 and approved the renewed and revised Law on Protecting the Consumers' Rights in 2003.
However, fulfillment and implementation of these documents have been not satisfied in national and regional levels in the past 20 years.
Government tasked the deputy minister to report an implementation process of the national program on protecting consumers' rights within the 1st quarter of each year.
