MP: Tehran not taking Kerry’s Iran visit seriously
Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA -- Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Borujerdi said Tuesday that Iran is not taking seriously, the unofficial reports on the US Senate Foreign Relations Chairman, John Kerry’s, visit to Iran.
Boroujerdi, ruling out Foreign Policy journal’s report on Kerry’s proposal to the White House to visit Iran, told IRNA that regarding continued hostile policy of the US government and congress against Iran, the Iranian officials have no motivation to get engaged in the issue of talks with the US.
He said the US congress has over the past one year proposed many hostile policies against Iran, recent case of which being adoption of a dlrs 55 million budget to be spent against Iran./end
