S. Korea’s CJ Picture Book Festival honors Iranian illustrator
TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) -- Iranian illustrator Narges Mohammadi has won one of the five prizes at the 2nd CJ Picture Book Festival in South Korea.
Mohammadi received the prize for her works published in the children’s book “Deer Hunter”.
Sung-Hee Kim and Won-Hee Jo from South Korea, Matze Doebele from Germany, and Mayumi Otero from France were other winners.
Iranian illustrators Rashin Kheirieh, Parisa Mahmudi, Alireza Golduzian, Hassan Ammekan and Morteza Zahedi were among the 50 finalists whose works will be published in the festival’s catalogue.
The CJ Picture Book Festival is held in the New Publication Category and the Illustration Category.
Winners’ works have been put on show in an exhibition, which runs until December 24. The showcase opened November 23.
The festival is held annually by South Korea’s CJ Culture Foundation.
