AZERBAIJANI COMMUNITY IN ESTONIA APPEALS TO U.S. CONGRESS
Baku, 22 December (AzerTAc). The Estonia-Azerbaijan Culture Center “Aydan” appealed to the U.S. Congress on behalf of the Azerbaijani community in Estonia.
The appeal says “majority of Azerbaijanis living in Estonia are residents of the territory of Nagorno Karabakh and adjacent lands which are under Armenian occupation. They express displeasure at the U.S. Congress` act to send financial aid to separatists who have committed the Khojaly genocide, occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories and drove more than one million people from their native lands. Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of the United States in fight against terrorism. If the decision of the Congress is approved, the United States` prestige will be damaged among the Azerbaijani community across the world”.
