BRIEF NEWS FROM OMNOGOBI

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Two young monks who belong to the Maani monastery in Omnogobi province will study in the Sera Monastery located in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region of China, to learn Buddhism philosophy.
The Sera Monastery's training period continues for at least 15 years. They are co-sponsored by the "Ajnai" corporation and the Citizens' Representative Khural of the province.

Deputy Governor of the aimag has issued an order prohibiting public measures and events due to a spread of the swine flu (H1N1) virus. However, this decision will not affect bars, restaurants, canteens, and secondary schools.

A conference of labor will be co-organized by the Development Policy Section (DPS) of the aimag's administration and the Mongolian Trade Unions (MTU) on December 23.
The gathered are to discuss the basic directions of development in 2010 and to raise an issue on preparing experts and workers for the mining sector.
Within the aim to prepare the experts, the DPS will organize a short-term training for the aimag's citizens. Criteria of mining companies will be considered as well.
