AZERBAIJAN, UAE TO DISCUSS ECONOMIC, TRADE AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION
Baku, 20 December (AzerTAc). Abu Dhabi will host Monday the 2nd meeting of an Azerbaijan-UAE intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and technical cooperation.
Azeri co-chair of the commission, economic development minister Shahin Mustafayev will lead a large delegation of ministerial officials and businessmen from a wide range of fields, including ICT, agriculture, banking, tourism, construction, industry and energy for the event.
Meanwhile, UAE economic minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri told Al-Ittihad daily his country was keen to boost relations with Azerbaijan, particularly in economy and trade.
Al Mansouri praised Azerbaijan`s “rapid economic development”, saying it was possible thanks to the country`s “open economy policy”.
The minister also praised the UAE-Azerbaijan relations, saying they saw considerable development over the last few years.
Al Mansouri hoped the Abu Dhabi meeting would be “fruitful” and “open new opportunities for expanding the scope of our cooperation”.
The first meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission took place last April in Baku.
