Tehran, Dec 20, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the US Administration is expected to gradually change its literature on Iran.
Speaking in the closing ceremony of the seventh festival named 'Achievements of the Land of Light', he said the US should gradually change its literature and wordings on Iran.
He said that Iranian nation manifested national unity with 40 million turnout in the presidential election adding that pursuance of wrong policies will take Washington nowhere.
The president highlighted peace efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran helping restore international peace and security in the region.
"The Islamic Revolution's spirit of peace loving will be conveyed to world people. The Islamic Revolution has set precedent for humanitarian values, religious morality and initiated lofty aspirations for the international community. The Islamic Revolution left no room for war or conflict," President Ahmadinejad said.
"World people are now eyeing Iran to help them resolve global issues."
He referred to the US-UK attempt to overshadow 40 million turnout in Iranian presidential election and said that the Western powers mainly the US and Britain are expected to have the courage to admit their failure.
"The US administration and Britain have established media as voice of America and BBC to meddle in Iran’s presidential election but it backfired."
Highlighting Iranian peace efforts in the Middle East, President Ahmadinejad said that Iran has objections to the US dominance over the Middle East.
They have assumed that they can easily dominate the Middle East region and there is no one to stand up to them, he said.
"The current dispute between Iran and the west is not for the human rights or the nuclear program. The fact is that they want to dominate the entire Middle East region but they see Iran as their rival."
“We have declared many times that we do not seek to make nuclear bomb and have the courage to declare our intentions,” he said.
President Ahmadinejad said that Iran has declared determination to operate fuel cycle and has no fear of UN resolutions.
Iran has planned to manufacture new generation of centrifuges and set up a center to produce fuel. "We have the courage to declare our programs."
The president criticized the current US policies in Afghanistan and said that dispatch of extra 35,000 troops to Afghanistan can not help them resolve the issue.
He advised the western states and NATO members to review the history of Afghanistan and said that they had better leave Iraq and Afghanistan.
The era of militarism is over and the western powers must know that use of force in a political stalemate does not work./end
