Saudi Campaign to Relief Palestinians Signs 3 Agreements with UNRWA



Riyadh, Dec 19, 2009, SPA -- In line with royal directives, and coping with the
unlimited support offered by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, Prince Naif
bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy and Minister of Interior, and General Supervisor of The
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign for Relief of Palestinian People in Gaza,
3 agreements have been signed here today, to implement a number of relief programs
and humanitarian projects to mitigate their sufferings, in co-operation with UNRWA,
at a cost amounting to SR 14. 530. 653.

Dr. Saed Al-Orabi Al-Harthi advisor to the Prince Naif and chief of the Campaign
signed here today with Karen Abu Zayd, UNRWA Commissioner General 3 accords in a
ceremony attended by number officials of international humanitarian organizations.

Dr. Al-Harthi commended UNRWA Chief's initiative to award UNRWA first Distinguished
Donor Prize to Prince Naif, noted that this award is standing as a sign of a world
appreciation of Saudi humanitarian role towards sufferers and victims, stressed that
the Saudi efforts in indulging in humanitarian efforts stems from the Islamic values
and teachings.

The Program includes $1.874.841 of relief and medical assistance in addition to $ 2
million of food assistance to be provided in light of a very precise mechanism, to
guarantee reaching to the exact beneficiaries, he added.
