IRAN'S DEPUTY MINISTER, GREEK MINISTER DISCUSS OF MUTUAL INTEREST
Athens, June 8 (IRNA) - Deputy Commerce Minister and Governor of Iran's Trade Development Organization Mehdi Ghazanfari, who is paying a visit to Greece, conferred with Greek Development Minister Christos Folias here Saturday. In the meeting, Ghazanfari referred to the old, warm and friendly ties between the two countries and said potentials for economic and trade cooperation are enormous and called for expansion of cooperation between private sectors of the two countries. The Greek minister, for his part, said expansion of ties need getting acquainted with existing economic and trade potentials in the two countries. He referred to the Greek experiences in the fields of building construction, food production, fishery, navigation and tourism and expressed his country's readiness to transfer the experiences and cooperation between private sectors of Iran and Greece. Referring to the several plans concerning transit pipelines of gas and oil through Greece to Europe, the minister underlined increasing importance of Greece as a center for energy transition in the region. The Iranian official also invited the Greek minister to pay a visit to Iran which was welcomed by his excellency.
