AZERI PREMIER MEETS ASTRAKHAN GOVERNOR
Baku, 18 December (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has met visiting chairman of government of Russia`s Astrakhan oblast Konstantin Markelov.
The Premier praised the fact “both nations wish to further develop their overall cooperation”. Rasizade said Azerbaijan enjoyed “good relations” with Russia`s regions.
He hoped the visit of the Astrakhan governor would stimulate further strengthening of the bilateral cooperation.
The Premier raised awareness of Markelov about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Rasizade said despite efforts of international organizations the problem remained unsolved because of Armenia`s “non-constructive position”.
The chairman of the Astrakhan government said Azerbaijan and the oblast were bound together by ties of history and friendship. Markelov stressed the importance of further expanding economic and business relations.
Russian ambassador in Baku Vladimir Dorokhin was present at the meeting.
